My FORTY-THIRD title launched today! I am SO blessed and give thanks to God for His abundant favor!
UNIQUELY COMMON is the twelfth book in the Sweet Americana Sweethearts multi-author Lockets and Lace Collection. Nine titles were published in 2018, mine was SILENT HARMONY and this year we added ten more with a few returning and a few new authors! I’m so glad to be a part of this wonderful series loved by all!
Here’s how the jacket copy reads: Steel sharpens steel, but will its sparks ignite unfailing love?
Instead of living a pampered life on the civilized east coast with a new husband, rejection compels Christina Adams westward with her widowed brother and his two daughters. Harboring ulterior motives, Ethan Cord, the man her brother hires to accompany the family is more a match for her. He appears almost perfect, but how could she possibly trust her instincts about him when she’d been so wrong about her previous fiancé? Will her past ruin her future?
After her heartbreak, Christina second guesses everything. She has few options since her brother, thinking he’d be leaving her married and in the good hands of a new husband had sold the brownstone. With her nieces begging hard, she agrees to go with them to California, though she does not look forward to the journey.
The story is packed with adventure and travel of the day (1852) as they make their way from New York to New Orleans by train and then by steamship up the Mississippi River to Hannibal, Missouri where they bought their prairie schooners and made their way across Missouri to Saint Joseph where the true trek is about to begin!
UNIQUELY COMMON is that near its end, when they make it to St. Jo, a young lady is introduced named Remi. She happens to be the heroine of my next book, REMI, releasing May 3rd, my contribution to the multi-author Mothers Day Prairie Roses Collection. And the journey continues with the whole gang from UNIQUELY COMMON!
This is the book where they travel from Saint Joseph on the Oregon/California Trail! Ron and I drove that same passage back in December, and I've been blogging on what we did each day right here at Sweet Americana Sweethearts Blog! Seeing the actual sights has made it so much more an awesome story!
I just know that you're going to love both these stories. My author tagline is "Praying my story gives God glory!"
I had a few early readers and have received several five star reviews already! Here's one to enjoy!
UNIQUELY COMMON yet, I hope you'll get a copy today. It came oin at 220 pages so can easily be read in a day! And Pre-order REMI now, too! BLESSINGS!
Here's my bio! Y'all be BLESSED!
